Helena Chywski will perform a live synesthetic painting to Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, as it’s played by the Montclair State University Symphony Orchestra.

Helena experiences synesthesia: a rare neurological condition where the senses intertwine. For her, music is not just sound, but a vivid world of color, texture, and movement. During this performance, she will translate what she sees and feels from the music directly onto canvas in real time.
